  Scope and element of GHS

:::

:::

The Globally Harmonized System includes provisions for both classification criteria and hazard communication elements, i.e., labels and safety data sheets.

The following "GHS Standardized Hazard Symbols" picture is the standard symbols which should be used in the GHS.
With the exception of the new symbol which will be used for certain health hazard, the exclamation mark and the fish and tree, they are part of the standard symbol set used in the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.
